5 New Luxury Hotels Openings From Big Hospitality Brands in 2023

2023 is bringing many new exciting opportunities, in particular some sparkling new openings of some of the world’s leading hotel companies. From the bustle of Istanbul to the snow-covered mountain range of the Swiss Alps, we have collated a list of the best new hotels that 2023 has to offer.

1. The Ritz-Carlton, Fukuoka

Opening June 2023


Opening in June of this year is The Ritz-Carlton on the northern shore of Japan’s Kyushu Island. This 167-room complex is located in the central tower of the Fukuoka Daimyo Garden City in the west end of Tenjin. Renowned for its street music and street vendors, The Ritz-Carlton in the Tenjin District is the perfect amalgamation of action and alleviation. Guests will be welcomed into the serene establishment with local interior art design, including Hakata-ori textiles and woven bamboo, providing a perfect escape from the hum of the city. The hotel will feature a club lounge, spa, gym, and pool, as well as a bar overseeing Hakata Bay. The complex will be adorned with restaurants, with both Western and Asian eateries inspired by the cosmopolitan culinary heritage of Kyushu's food capital.

2. Capella, Sydney

Opened March 15, 2o23


Contemporary and traditional Australian luxury come together in the brand new Capella, Sydney hotel. The 192-room property is based in the historic Sandstone Precinct in Sydney’s central business district, over eight levels and caters for guests with its three food and beverage facilities. Brasserie 1930 is one of the newest brasseries in Sydney and is situated on the ground floor of the property. Chef Brent Savage creates a varied menu using an array of food preparation techniques, making it one of Syndey’s most cutting-edge dining experiences.

3. Six Senses Crans-Montana, Switzerland

Opened February 1, 2023


In the centre of champagne skiing is the new Six Senses hotel which opened in February of this year. Described as a ‘natural high-altitude playground’, enjoy bluebird days with Crans-Montana’s renowned sunshine. Situated in the Swiss Alps, Crans-Montana provides an impeccable combination of skiing, shopping and fine dining. The hotel itself presents guests with exceptional activities ranging from hikes, to wine tasting, to one of the world’s most prestigious golf courses, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. 4. The Peninsula Istanbul

Opened February 14, 2023


Opened in February of this year, The Peninsula in Istanbul exhibits grandeur and exquisite architectural design along the Bosphorus waterfront. Their new waterfront restoration project presents four lavishly revitalised historic buildings using traditional Turkish architecture. Rooms range from standard to deluxe, which include private garden terraces as well as superior suites with balconies overlooking the bustling city. An outdoor swimming pool overlooks the waterfront beyond, with the beautiful backdrop of the hotel creating an image of total luxury in Turkey’s capital city. Additionally, guests have access to the spa and fitness centre facilities to create a balance of work and play.

5. Raffles London at The OWO

Opening May 8, 2023


Raffles London opens its doors in the summer of 2023. Within walking distance of the capital’s top attractions, the hotel is a rejuvenation project of the Edwardian Old War Office in Whitehall. Situated on the cusp of the Thames River, the hotel is perfectly located near Downing Street, Big Ben and Trafalgar Square. Opulence is evident in the architectural design of the hotel, as guests are welcomed with white marble, magnificent chandeliers and a grand staircase.
