For its fifth anniversary, the Xiqu Centre is returning with a specially curated selection of Chinese opera performances, complemented with fine tea and dim sum to recreate Hong Kong’s early 20th century tea houses. Looking to introduce traditional Cantonese opera to newcomers through a 90-minute performance, with the assistance of a translator, the production includes romance, comedy, tragedy and martial arts.
