Location

Looking across the Sydney skyline, Crown Towers Sydney is a striking centrepiece in the vibrant Barangaroo precinct. This prime location places guests within easy reach of the city's top attractions, dining, cultural attractions and shopping destinations. In recent years, Barangaroo has undergone an urban renewal, transforming from a former container terminal into a lively waterside hub featuring beautiful parklands, excellent restaurants and innovative architecture.

Accommodation

Crown Towers Sydney boasts 349 rooms, suites and villas each offering stunning waterfront or city skyline views. Our stay in the Opera King room – with its floor-to-ceiling windows framing the Opera House – made us feel as though we were floating above the harbour. Designed by New York-based interior boutique, Myer Davis, the hotel seamlessly blends beautiful design and modern technology, perfectly capturing the hotel's unique harbourside setting. Our room is luxuriously spacious for two, featuring a well-stocked mini bar and Nespresso coffee amenities. Beside the bed, you'll find buttons to control the curtains and the lighting (dimmed for cosy settings, or brighter for reading), alongside the charging ports. The bathroom features double sinks, a large tub with an inbuilt TV, a beautiful marble shower and a bidet-equipped toilet that's warmed to comfort, reminiscent of those in Japan.

For those so inclined, Crown also offers the Presidential Villa which epitomises the opulence and luxury on offer. Perched atop the 88th floor of Crown Towers, this two-level retreat features a luxurious living area, bespoke furnishings, a kitchen, bar, and media room for entertaining. Guests enjoy personalised service from a private butler, while the master bedroom includes a marble spa bath and steam shower. Additional amenities include a fitness room with an infrared sauna, a massage suite, and a private terrace with a heated infinity pool. Valet parking, Champagne on arrival, and breakfast at Epicurean or a dining credit complete this pinnacle of luxury in Sydney. It's rumoured that Taylor Swift stayed in this accommodation during her trip to Sydney for the Eras Tour.

Facilities

Crown Towers Sydney offers a variety of excellent facilities, including a spa and gym, but the highlight is undoubtedly the expansive outdoor pool with panoramic views of the harbour horizon. Heated to a perfect 28 degrees, the pool can be enjoyed year-round. Our hot tip? Relax and unwind by watching the sunset from the pool with your beverage of choice. Guests can also book private cabanas, which come with plush day beds, a complimentary minibar, and a choice of fruit or cheese platters, for those wanting to upgrade their experience.

The gym is another standout feature, offering magnificent views of the Sydney skyline and fitted with TechnoGym's exclusive 'Artis' equipment. It is open daily, 24 hours. Additionally, there's an open-air tennis court and complimentary yoga sessions every Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 10 am at the yoga deck.

Spa

Drawing inspiration from the aqua hues of Sydney Harbour, Crown Spa Sydney offers a unique wellness experience like no other. Designed by Blainey North, the spa's sophisticated interiors reflect the tranquil bay waters with flowing forms and translucent resin walls. Guests can indulge in exclusive treatments from esteemed partners like La Prairie and Subtle Energies, including therapeutic massages, custom purifying facials, and holistic wellness offerings. Each treatment is crafted to soothe and revitalise the mind, body, and soul, providing a sanctuary for weary travellers seeking rejuvenation.

To finish your spa treatment, the Aqua Retreat is a must, harnessing the rejuvenating power of water in all its forms. The steam room provides heat to warm the body and eliminate toxins, while the therapeutic Swiss shower stimulates the senses, to round off your experience.

Dining

Crown Towers Sydney's bars and restaurants are renowned for their world-class chefs, offering a diverse range of culinary experiences from fine dining to casual bites, catering to every occasion. During our stay, we enjoyed lunch at Nobu, renowned for its inventive and internationally recognised Japanese fusion menu. Our favourites were the fresh sashimi and the lunch special bento box which features an array of fresh seafood, meat and rice.

For dinner, we savoured a'Mare by acclaimed Chef and Restaurateur Alessandro Pavoni, known for its ever-changing menu that celebrates fine seasonal Italian produce with a blend of traditional and new flavours. Despite some delays in service, the seafood was impeccably fresh, and the Gundagai lamb backstrap was tender and bursting with flavour.

Included in our stay, and what I eagerly anticipated, was the renowned breakfast buffet at Epicurean. Featuring sophisticated open kitchens, it operates from 7 am to 10:30 am and offers a wide array of breakfast options. Guests can indulge in yogurt, fruits, eggs, and bacon. For those craving Chinese cuisine, steamed buns and noodles are available. Those with a sweet tooth can start their day with warm, flaky pastries or enjoy an assortment of French toast, crepes, and waffles, complete with a chocolate fountain.

Other options include Oncore by Clare Smyth, by the first and only British female chef to hold three Michelin stars in the UK. The Waiting Room is a classic hotel bar offering signature cocktails and rare single malt whiskies. Woodcut, curated by award-winning Chef Ross Lusted and Sunny Lusted, celebrates traditional cooking methods using wood, charcoal, and steam. Each dish on Woodcut’s ever-changing menu tells a story, inspired by local produce and Lusted’s global culinary journey. With such a variety of dining options, Crown Towers Sydney truly offers something for every palate.
