In the age of TikTok, the new and popular spreads globally like wildfire thanks to the infamous ‘For You Page’. Through this algorithm comes the introduction of trends. It is with this, that we welcome the Scandinavian Style. This popular interior design of the modern-day home has progressed from wood furnishings to wearable minimalism. Influenced by the cluster of countries spanning Scandinavia, the increasingly popular style is an eclectic mix of striking shapes and simple designs, to project the ultimate ‘cool girl’ look. So why is it popular? Well, arguably the wearability and versatility of each individual piece culminates in an ever-expanding wardrobe of put-together ensembles.

Arguably, whilst trending fashion is an ever-changing visual, Scandinavian style is an ever-changing microcosm within fashion. Whilst clean aesthetics are still a key contributor to achieving this look, and part of this is in fact still made up from minimalism – in shape, in pattern and in detail – it is by no means as heavily relied on as it once was.
